At the beginning of 2010 we made the decision to strategically acquire the equipment necessary to produce hotdogs.  Hotdogs have been a constant request from existing and new customers alike and we tiring of having to say no.  The first piece of equipment was an updated/larger smokehouse to more precisely control the environment within the smokehouse. 

One thing that is crucial to our continued efficiencies is the computer program that we use to track out orders and invoicing.  This program handles our scheduling, orders, invoicing and everything in between.  It was designed by Computer Bookkeeping Solutions and to any other interested processors out there (yes we know you look cause we do it to) it is available for purchase and can be custom tailored to your specific operation.  In comparison to other software options available it is very affordable.  Call or email us with any questions, we would be happy to discuss how it can affordably transform your business!                             

When we first came under inspection, one of the first services that our customers asked for after initial slaughter and packaging was delivery.  We started with a small pickup truck with a refrigerated box and as our customers orders and needs grew so did our fleet.  Today we have 3 vehicles in our fleet, all sized to handle any orders or deliveries that our customers need.  We take great pride in being able to extend the safety and quality of our products through our delivery services.  Just one more way that we continue to add value to our customers products.

With the increased production demands our freezer storage has been bulging at the seams and has actually decreased our efficiency.  The options available to us ranged from building an addition to house a freezer to transporting product to an offsite location for storage.  We settled somewhere in the middle and purchased a 40' shipping container that provides adequate space but is still portable.  What this means to our customers is, orders that are delivered via our truck will be palletized immediately after freezing which will cut down on the number of times a box is handled, leaving boxes and packaging that will hold up longer.

To our customers, packaging is one of the most important aspects of the many services that we provide.  Attractive packaging that emphasizes the product as well as maintaining the safety of the product throughout is critical to the success of all of our customers.  In answer to this critical process we decided to purchase a new packaging machine.  Buying new for us meant that technical support and quality assurance would available to us to continue to improve our quality in the products that we produce.  Rollstock Inc. was the best fit for our operation and their training and support was first class.
